About Us

Our names are Mike and JaneĀ and we’re as dedicated to gardening as we are to each other. For over 5 years we have been gardening and it’s something we love to do both together and apart. There’s just something about the smell of a fresh cut lawn or blossoming flowers that puts a smile on our faces- and it will do the same for you. Whether you want to get rid of pesky weeds or plant an herb garden we can help you do it right- and have a lot of fun while doing it.

Mike’s Story

I’m 33 now, but we bought our home at the tender age of 25, which is what motivated me to become a DIY expert when it comes to lawn care. During that time I’ve discovered tips and advice that can really make caring for your lawn easier. From advice on what tools work best for which jobs to the proper techniques for watering and mowing your lawn, I will tell you what it takes to have your yard looking like it belongs in a magazine spread.

It’s not about being fancy, it’s about showing you care and taking the time and energy to nourish your lawn. I’ll feed you the information you need to feed your lawn what it needs to grow and flourish.

Jane’s Story

When Mike and I first moved into our home I had a vision of how our yard should look: lush, green grass with an organic herb garden under the kitchen window and an English tea garden by our Sycamore tree. 5 long, messy years later I finally have my dream yard and I’m going to teach you how you can make yours.

I love being in our yard in the early morning, pruning branches and planting seeds as the sun warms my face, and now you can too. I’ll tell you what flowers thrive in what areas/temperatures, share re-planting tips and dish on the right types of soil you need to plant a thriving garden. Stick with me and say goodbye to wilting petals and hello to bright, aromatic plants and flowers.

Yard Day will make everyday a perfect day for being in your yard and bringing the plants and grass around you to life. Dig in and read all about it, then go out and start digging for real.

Regards,

Jane & Mike
